Black Eyed Girl

She was not like the gleaming moon,
Neither she came from stars,
She never smelled like flowers,
Neither her eyes were green.

She was  a black eyed girl
 With a natural smile
 Who once made me forget
All my pain, the moon and the stars.

Moving vehicles can tear us apart
But there is something called Soul
There is something called Love
Eternal, Imperishable.

I see her in fresh green leaves
I see her in the dew on them
I meet her in orchids plucking flowers
I find her in the valleys planting tea

I see her in the fields singing melodies
I meet her near the lake throwing pebbles
I see her sitting alone in meadows
I see her counting stars in a lonely night.

She smiles, whispers in my ears
And then disappears
Somewhere in the woods,
Inside the blanket of clouds.

I lay tethered
In the grass and meadows
She leaves me shattered
In the woods beneath the clouds.

Not the Wind of the East
Neither  the  Snow of the West
She was a black eyed girl
Who became my life once.
